Today, I want to remember and to thank these brave soldiers having liberated also us here in Germany, assisting in reinstalling a new stable democracy in Germany, freedom of speech, free press & separation of powers, reaching out your hand after having been attacked by a right-extremist megalomanic dictator, many Americans sending CARE boxes to their former enimies, as they saw them starving.
I still remember, that it was hard for me to go through the soldiers‘ cemetary in Normandy, next to my American friend and I was crying, when I went through this long tunnel to the cemetary, when they read out all the names of these young brave soldiers having fought for freedom in Europe and Germany and yesterday I saw also a soldiers‘ cemetary here in a little town in Bavaria, which broke my heart, as too many young men had to die on both sides for a senseless and brutal war.

By liberating also us here in Germany, my Grand Parents and my Parents were able to raise us in a free way with humanistic and Christian values, me being able to live an authentic life as a gay guy in Bavaria.
So never forgot, thank you and we will get through our problems around the globe, I will contribute as much as I can, not giving in yet, as this should not happen anymore anywhere.
