I simply don’t care, if my little hat created for peace on earth and understanding, falls down again and again, most people, I meet, are giving me a heartful smile back, therefore it was worth, crafting it in long, cold nights, burnt my finger, I don’t care, and the few ones, who do not appreciate my offer for understand8ng and building brigdes, no matter what happened before, it is not my problem and I will repair the tree, putting even more glitter and coloured ligts on top, no matter what.
And if some friends are asking me, why are you doing this, I tell them, I wear it with proud, as colourful as I can, was such a shy guy back in the Eighties, when my Mom said, wear colourful clothes, as you are you, never forgot this lesson learnt, as we still can, in Germany, in times like these, and if I could make someone smile and feeling good for a glimpse of an eye, it all was worth it.
